Enviro BRM™
Our proprietary Enviro BRM™ products integrate our patented Extreme-Woodlam™ blast-resistant technology to meet safety design requirements from accidental industrial explosions or security anti-terrorism design requirements from bomb attacks. Our standard Enviro BRM™ design range from 2 psi to 10 psi free-field blast overpressures up to 200 msec with a medium response level in accordance with Enviro BRM™ combines steel framing with Extreme-Woodlam™ panels and are far more environmentally amiable to manufacture, cost-effective, and are considerably ergonomically friendlier than standard steel blast-resistant modules (BRMs).
Enviro BRM™ Configuration
Our standard size and configuration Enviro BRM™ come in 8 ft wide, 10 ft wide and 12 ft wide modules with lengths between 20 ft, 40 ft and 60 ft long, and a standard height of 10 ft. Our Enviro BRM™ can be built in single or multiple units to accommodate most sizing and needs including floorplans and designs for offices, washrooms, boardrooms, labs, lunchrooms, shelters, guard booths and critical equipment storage. SPS Modular has a strong backing in engineering, and can brainstorm with you to achieve your ideal layout size and floor plan – reach out to us and our licensed fabricators for all your blast needs, reference material and quotation requests.
Blast Testing and Performance Validation
Our Enviro BRM™ has successfully passed a rigorous blast assessment, design, and testing validation program in accordance with industry-accepted blast performance requirements including ASCE’s “Design of Blast-Resistant Buildings in Petrochemical Facilities”, CSA S850-12 “Design and Assessment of Buildings Subjected to Blast Loads”), US Army Corps of Engineers- Protective Design Center Technical Report PDC-TR 06-08 and in compliance with recommended practices listed in API 753 for Management of Hazards Associated with Location of Process Plant Portable Buildings. The blast design, open air blast testing, and performance validation of the Enviro BRM product were conducted at the blast testing facility located near Bend, Oregon, USA.
